“You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust’”.
(Psalm 91:1-2)
During the night of Tuesday 24 October, Acapulco (in Guerrero, Mexico) lived through a very challenging event. That morning, news spread of an approaching hurricane. It intensified during the day, and at 7pm it was announced that the hurricane had become a Category 5, and made landfall in the city at 11pm. It was a difficult and traumatising experience not only for the local Koinonia but for the whole population of Acapulco. However, throughout this situation, the community experienced the Lord’s mercy, who provided refuge for our lives and continues to providentially strengthen the people of the Koinonia.
From this point on, with trust in the Lord, we grab and hold His hand ever more tightly and continue to walk forward.
Thank you to all those who have offered up prayer for us as well as help in various forms.
